    One for the Notebook

All very quiet over recent weeks and I haven’t really been able to watch enough racing to pass on any insights. However, I did come across what I feel is an imminent future winner. Only trouble is that it is I have no idea what the price will be yet. JUMIRA BRIDGE (running on Saturday, BATH 3.45 pm) seems to have all the right pins lined up to strike. From a trading point of view, he’s probably not my favourite type of runner – its a five and half furlong race and he almost always starts slowly and needs to battle through horses at the end. However in his favour…

    A good one at Haydock

I strongly fancy Four Kingdoms in the 17.00 at Haydock this evening. It has been working well on the gallops according to someone in the know and I’m going to have £1 on it. GL if you back it. Jockey: Gianluca Sanna Trainer: R. Mike Smith

    Two Tips For Tuesday

Two Tips For Tuesday 23rd July I will have had £1 on CHATHAM HOUSE 20.20 Chelmsford for this evening. I backed it late last night on the exchange and got 4.0 (3/1) but it has shortened a bit this morning as some of the big online tipsters have selected it as their NAP this morning. Very reliable performer, it’s a nice gelding who ran very well indeed when beaten by Daarik on the all weather. Didn’t have a favourable draw last time at Chester but still did OK. Finsished strongly to get 3rd. Even though it is top weight it still looks a good bet to me of a mark…

Tips for Sat 20th July 2019

OK so I’ve not spotted anything worth shouting about for a few days but today there are a few that catch my eye. PHILONIKIA 8.45 Doncaster has been doing some great homework and is my NAP for the day. Running way above opening rating on the gallops and I’m pretty confident she will go well. Good luck if you have a £ on it. Next best PISTOLETTO 4.00 Curragh which I backed at 6/5 via Ladbrokes. BetVictor also offer that price but I won’t use them as they stole money from me a couple of years ago. ANANYA 2.05 Newmarket Each Way at 9/1 via PaddyPower, is also worth an…

    Just one tip today

Quiet start to the week but HERITAGE 16.30 Bath should make all. Improving, and in great form at home, this horse is strongly fancied. I managed to get 2.5 (6/4) on the Betdaq exchange this morning but it has shortened to 11/10 with bookmakers. Jockey: Liam Keniry Trainer: Clive Cox By the way the fact that Heritage is a front runner will mean that you will probably be able to trade out at a profit via the exchange even if it doesn’t win. I had the day off yesterday so no tips or updates on the previous days racing. Featured image for this post courtesy Sky Sports

    Tips for Sunday 14th July

I will be busy watching the Cricket World Cup Final today but here are my 2 picks for today. Amor Verdadero 14.50 at Sligo I got 2.5 (6/4) on the exchange this morning. Very consistent mare and should run well again today after winning last time out at Bellewstown. Trainer: Gordon Elliott Jockey: Davy Russell Also I shall have a very small bet on MORNING SKYE in the 13.50 at Sligo. I suspect he will get off the mark over hurdles at the fourth time of asking. Worth 50p. Please gamble responsibly and I strongly suggest very small stakes just for the fun of watching them race. If the fun…

Tips for Sat 13th July 2019

With 19 runners in the first race at Ascot today, (13.45) it will be a bit of a cavalry charge and very difficult to pick a winner but I feel that Tis Marvelous has a good chance for a small bet. C&D winner last summer and again was runner up in the Wokingham three weeks ago. 2 lb rise is more than fair and he has a great chance. Trainer: Clive Cox Jockey: Adam Kirby HYDROPLANE in the 20.50 at Salisbury looks good. I backed it on the exchange early and got 6.0 for it (5/1 in old money). If it was a slightly bigger price I’d do it each…

    Tip of the day

OK so my first 2 days suggestions have run really badly so here’s hoping that it’s third time lucky. I fancy Pesto 16.35 Ascot and I’ve backed it at 2/1 with Ladbrokes. Pesto dead heated last time out after a long lay off with Wise Counsel (Sandown). So I’m hoping for a big improvement this time and the extra furlong should be to his advantage. Trainer: Richard Hannon jr. Jockey: Sean Levey Good luck if you decide to have a £1 on it. (Small stakes only please betting should be fun). Photo credit: Richard Hannon Racing Each Way fancy today is Solid Stone in the 13.50 at Newmarket who is…

    Mind on Other Things Today

I am trying to study form and keep my eye out for interesting betting opportunities but I’ll be honest a large part of my day today will be concentrating on England v Australia in the Cricket World Cup Semi-final. I will update this post if I find a bet or two! OK so my eye has been drawn to Felix in the 16.25 today at Doncaster. I think the ground will suit him better today. Trainer: Sir Michael Stoute Jockey: Colm O’Donoghue. I also think a small bet on Masar 15.35 at Newmarket will be worth a shout. Trainer: Charlie Applebly. Jockey: James Doyle. Update 15.39 Blimey Masar was terrible…
